Some useful links

If you would like to visit our vineyard and other nearby attractions (we are only 7 miles south west of Oxford, and one and a half miles from Abingdon) try www.visitoxford.org. Alternatively why not visit the Enjoy England website (www.enjoyengland.com) which covers a wider area; The latter is the official site for tourism in England.

Use the Oxfordshire Search Engine www.ioxfordshire.co.uk to find businesses in Oxfordshire. We appear under their www.ioxfordshire.co.uk/local/vineyards-and-wine-producers/ listing.

We are members of the Thames and Chilterns Vineyard Association (www.thameschilternsvineyards.org.uk) which organises informative and enjoyable events for wine producers and vineyard owners in the region. The association also runs annual wine competitions and tours, many of their activities happily involve food, drink and socialising! We are also members of the UK Vineyards Association (UKVA) (e-mail: sian@ukva.org.uk or visit www.ukva.org.uk ) which publishes helpful information for vineyards across Britain, an email information bulletin and lobbies on wine related issues on our behalf.

The issues of local food and the environment are very much in the public eye nowadays. The Local Food Group in Oxfordshire (www.oxfordshirelocalfood.info) is very actively campaigning and assisting small producers like ourselves and produce an information-packed Local Food Directory every year.

The English Wine Producers (EWP) group (www.englishwineproducers.com) coordinate English Wine Week each year at the end of May and work hard to convince the public and retailers to sit up and take notice of the high standards set by local wine producers.  Another simple wine-centered website concentrating on UK vineyards is www.ukvines.co.uk.

We would like to thank the following people who have been extremely generous in helping us through this early and very challenging period:

Our labels were kindly designed by Linda Francis (email: linfran@oxfree.com) while our new eco house has been designed by David Wylie Associates (www.wylie-associates.com ).

This website has been totally redesigned for us by Tim Irving (www.intersignia.com).  Many thanks to Roger MacCalman who is hosting the site for us and puts up with our ongoing computer illiteracy.

We cater for a large number of happy volunteers throughout the year and when we use pork, eggs, burgers, bacon or ice cream, we turn to Cumbers of Theale who sell high quality meat and other products from the farm shop in Marcham. They also help us all sorts of other farmy ways (like sell us muck!) A unique establishment that boasts its own organic sheep, an amazing Roman archaeological site and more.
